IP Address Lookup Tool

We strive to keep as much spam email as possible from reaching our email users through a variety of security measures. Sometimes, legitimate email is blocked or “blacklisted” when large amounts of spam are detected from an IP address. The owner of the blacklisted IP address must take action to fix risky behavior occurring in their systems so that we can remove the block. It is for this reason that the request to remove a block can only be honored if it comes from the actual owner of the IP address.

If you received a “bounce back” message, your email was flagged as coming from an IP address that has been blacklisted. While you may not have sent the spam, another user sharing the same IP address with you did, triggering the block. If you are the customer of an email provider then this scenario applies to you and you must contact them so they can submit a request for block removal. It is important that your provider be made aware that one of their IP addresses is blocked so they can take the appropriate action to address it, and they may rely on you to deliver that information.

This tool is provided to help determine if an IP address has been blocked due to potential spam, virus or phishing activity. This Lookup Tool is for IP addresses only. Do not enter email addresses or domains.

IP Address Lookup

It is likely that the owner of your IP is already aware of the block and is working to fix the problem. However, if you are unsure, feel free to contact your IP owner or email provider (often your Internet Service Provider) to ensure speedy resolution.

If your IP address has been blocked, you will be given the opportunity to submit a request for removal of the block by completing a Removal Request Form but this request can only be honored if it comes from the owner of the IP address, which is usually the company providing your email service. If you are not the owner then please contact your email provider and have them submit the removal request.
